Well howdy! This is gonna be a ho-down, so strap in!
I think this image needs work, yet that doesn't mean I don't like it. You've done with the Depth of Field, this gives the pictures layers, something more for the eye to gaze over, like for example, when you first look at it, you take a mental note of the middle mushroom, the viewers eye trails off, with the help of the DoF, so very well done! I'm not all too sure if many people will notice this, bit for some reason I love the mushroom furthest to the right, it's not entirely in focus, and the area around it seems to bend, if you will around it, another star for you *
Also, like everyone knows, Bokeh! You've used it, but I'm not sure if you used it enough, not saying you should of! But the more the merrier? :>

Now, I've noticed a little lack of Rule of Thirds, but I'm more than sure you've compensated with the DoF, so I will overlook this one. And I mean, not all pictures need RoT, eh? <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt=":D" title=":D (Big Grin)"/>
The small bramble in the bottom left of the picture seems to lead my eye away from the subject, if you re-took this would you consider moving it? Purely for more emphasis on the main subject matter!

Now onto the subject matter... It's mushrooms, I mean, sure "MUSHROOMS MARIO" but, I can't compliment you on it being original, 'know what I mean? What I'm saying is, if you had a fairy jumping off with a basketball winning the NHL (or whatever the USA has) Then sure, amazing! Sell out! But, alas, mushrooms. It's been done before, and will be done again many, many times. So, maybe thing of another subject matter? But again, your technique has brought it through the ranks. It has captivated me. I like it, really do.

You don't seem to have edited it so much so that the colours have every shade in Photoshop in them like some other photographers I have seen, and attempted to critique. You've kept the calming colours of the Mushrooms, and if you have edited it, very well done. It looks really good, not too much at-all. You've kept quite alot of the detail in the Mushroom grooves, this can sometimes be lost in heavy editing, I know from personal experience. (well not on Mushrooms, but other things, heh)
Overall, good shot! Room for improvement, a little.
But keep it up, and thanks for reading!
